Winnie`s Oriental Garden in Winter Park

I love Winnie’s! Hands down the best Chinese food in Winter Park. The staff is friendly, the food comes out hot and it’s unbelievably delicious. You also don’t leave bloated! Love this place.

Food excellent, service equally good, what's not to love?

Sorry to see her go. She is closing down and retiring after 40 years of cooking.

Always good food

I have been going to this restaurant ever since i was a baby, and it never fails to amaze me even today. Wonderful people running the place, Winnie is a sweetheart, and the staff is just overall good, just like the food. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys quality Chinese cuisine.

I've driven past Winnie's numerous times over the years, and finally made the time to stop in. Things were dead at 8:30pm on a Wednesday (as in we were the only party in the entire restaurant), but I was quite pleased with everything. The lone server was friendly and attentive. We ordered some standard American style Chinese cuisine: orange chicken and the spicy angry chicken (aka General Tso). We both ordered the lunch portions, which were quite large, and came with rice and veggies. I'm kind of curious how large the dinner portion is, but for $9, you can easily get 2 meals out of it if you don't gorge yourself. Overall a good place for American style Chinese food in Winter Park.

Always great! Very pretty restaurant. Service is always perfect. Great to eat in or take out. Foods always fresh. Portions are huge! I can never finish the lunch portion. I either share it or take half home. Lunch portions are offered for dinner too, so that's very convenient. Highly recommend Winnie's!

We have never had a bad experience here. Winnie goes out of her way to make us and our guests welcome. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is beyond reproach. I LOVE Winnie's.... It is my favorite restaurant!

Great neighborhood chinese place

Frequent visitor. Shrimp Wonton Soup, best egg rolls in town. Curried Shrimp. Yum! Closed permanently this week.will be replaced by Black Bean Deli.

Winnie's the bomb!I don't know where the bad reviews came from. Winnie has been serving GREAT food I Winter Park for years. It's still great. Winnie and her son and the entire staff are the best!

My husband and I moved to Orlando in 1992. Winnie opened her restaurant shortly after. I couldn't count the number of times we ate in her dining room or ordered takeout during the eight years we lived there. Consistently great food and service.

Got a pick up order and tried some warm Saki while we waited. One meal is enough for two.

Love it everytime

Nice atmosphere, it felt clean and airy as you walked in. the man who waited on us was super nice and accommodating. it was neat to see that he had 'regulars' coming in and knew them by name. the food was good, it was hot and steamy when it came out, my toddler even ate and he's a picky eater. I liked this place and will probably be coming back. I have it 4 stars just because I ordered a spicy dish and it wasn't spicy, But they did bring out some chili sauce so I could add as much as I wanted.

I actually worked at this place, and had to quit because the kitchen was so disgusting and the chefs were not clean at all. They actually smoke in the kitchen with the back door open. Winny, the owner, was such a nasty woman even the customers would complain about her. One time she literally yelled at a customer because he checked his to-go order in front of her. What?This place is disgusting and the owner is even more disgusting. STAY AWAY!

The food was delicious! Staff was friendly and over accommodating. Every experience I've ever had with Winnie's has been excellent. Compared to the generic Chinese food shops, the food tasted healthier, not coated in grease or fake tasting. If it was closer to my house I would only get Chinese food from this location.

The building has some character and may scare you away, but inside is very nice. Lunch menu is very reasonably and service was great.

Ordered delivery based on the 4.1 star rating - the food was flavorless and the portions did not reflect the high price. I feel like a chump for paying $14 for this meal. Never again! Sticking with Lucky China next time.
